Sashay up, give me a crowd,
I’ll pirouette, tap-dance and belt one out loud.
Give me my full accord when I have stopped, bowed.
Take me completely, a broad.

Proud of who I am, a broad!
Jingle jangle, like a gypsy, things dangle.
May the wind twist, knot, my hair into tangles.
My stockings are black fishnet
but I haven’t finished my fishing . . . not yet.
I won’t win a trophy for my beauty . . . you bet,
but I’m sincerely a broad.

You want me to go . . . a broad?
Oh the stories, adventures that ring a bell,
but I’m too full of living on them to dwell.
I want to hear your applause
not for any feat but just for me . . . because
I lived my life without taking any pause.
