Road-kill Café
Employed by Road-kill Café,
I sometimes drive miles away
to scoop something exciting …
for our menu … inticing.
Boar fills one up the best, see,
loaded with locust gravy.
Nature-made tea—tangy—rocks
most folks out of both socks.
Eyes, newt, broad side of lizard
is served with cheesy gizzards.
Chocolate covered scorpions
scrumptious (my opinion)!
Bruised elk shoulder, crunchy toes,
is basked with curled mosquitoes.
Prime cacti is delicious
with rattlers venom … vicious!
Skunk de Plume tastes as it smells;
Armadillo is creamed in shells.
We offer rare catch … catch ‘em--
drag whatever it is in.
Skeeters come skin-slapped, scrambled
or take ‘Odd Pot’ and gamble!
Porcupine, seasoned well, prickles
when served with rotten pickles.
Coyote makes most howl, yell,
as they’re served HOT … straight from hell!
Pay no mind to what folks say—
ignore the cemetery—
amble to Road-kill Café.
Excellent! Roald Dahl would have loved this, he'd have recognised the quality of it.
