Monkey Me

I once appeared at my then fiance's apartment in an ape costume holding a banana. **this is in my book

I go bananas
when you make a monkey out of me
and swing from a tree
emotionally. Perfect? Not me;
pure simplicity.
I cannot fathom your every whim
so foolishly grin.
Wish you would say that I’m attractive
but that’s subjective;
pure perfection is your objective.
In life's great trapeze
Why not swing free, knowing my feelings . . .
I’m ape over you!
Scratch chaos and come monkey with me!

Ha-ha! This is cute! It reminds me of one of my monkey poems. I had deleted that one some time ago. I wonder if I still have it.

Good work Sandra! I've got a good chuckle out of this.

Thanks so much for your e-mail!

How could he resist that invitation to: "Monkey with me." I would have loved to see you in that costume. Bet you looked so cute. Wonder what happened later. You know a momkey costume is too hot to keep wearing. Did you take it off? Bill Murray
