Applause is rising
for the Doughboy's crowd.
Full of it, feisty . . .
one's in the oven.
They pop up . . . Pop Tarts--
cute, filled . . . with smarts.
They're always in style--
all the Doughboy's crowd.
His talk is tasty;
heard that he's flaky.
His wife, Cinnamon,
is shapely pastry.
She makes lips water,
then she splits . . . profound.
Where it is hot, cold,
you'll find Doughboy's crowd.
His demeanor mild--
some think he is 'hot'.
Once, at 350,
he's thinned down a lot.
Still, some family
think he's gone to pot.
Jams seem to abound
in the Doughboy's crowd.
He's been around, has
been slapped--way too fresh.
Gets 'buttered' a lot
by those in the flesh.
Copies, generics,
just turn into mesh.
Fancy them thriving,
all the Doughboy's crowd.
A world traveler
with entracing scent,
he's hypnotic
so all give consent.
We all want Dough Boy
(refusal's torment).
Applause will e'er do
for the Doughboy's crowd.
A naïve councilman and a down-on-her-luck single mom try to save their county’s last stand of forest from greedy developers and a dysfunctional government.
