Rejuvenated by a pome!

I slipped out of my aging skin
to stretch weary, achin' muscles,
draped my veins to dangle on-line
to improve their circulation.

My muscles--exercising--split
letting tissues, creaky bones 'air'.
Hung my organs and my blue genes
on the line for contemplation.

I let my mind out to wander--
it had issues which to ponder.
My spirit (which had long been cooped)
flew away for inspiration.

Soft whispers tickled my fancy,
I pulled, tugged, myself together.
Mended and renewed (but gutless),
slipped my skin on with sarcasm.

Who would believe I once stepped out?
