Such is the nature Of the ocean That the waters Which flow into it Can never fill it, Nor those Which flow from it Exhaust it, even a bit. I will enjoy myself, Rambling By the ocean's waves And feeling What the state Of chaotic obscurity is. It might be boiling About me, But I would not feel Its foaming heat; It might be frozen up, But I would not feel Its paralyzing bite; The hurrying thunderbolts Might split my craft And the fitful gusts Turn the waves up, Without being able To make me beaten.

I have been by the Pacific Ocean and I love the crashing of waves....
especially during the night...

I don't go far out in the ocean, just sit along the edge and look out and think how vast the ocean is and that my pen friend of more than 59 years is across it thinking of me also. I could not do well without a visit once in a while to the ocean 3 hours away though, so don't go often.
