With a heavy iron buckle --
An inherent attribute
Of a high-ranking mandarin --
Hangs a ring of the flawless nephrite,
The token of supreme authority.
Girding his belt with an iron buckle,
He commits himself to self-restraint.
His lofty mansion is surrounded
With deep moat and high mound;
He travels in his heavy chariot
Equipped with chrome boards.
He is regularly warned by Heaven
Of all upcoming events and reforms.
Therefore, there is no way
For villains and rogues of all sorts
To get close to him and harm by stealth.
