Only One Secret


A morning mist in the warm Spring air,
smell of wild flowers in the soft breeze,
the feeling of oneness is beyond compare,
the colors, the sounds, fulfill every need.

Spring reflects all the beauty of creation,
awaking from a primitive winter’s sleep,
brings contemned and joyful celebration,
relieving the sadness from which we weep.

Love and forgiveness with true atonement
for this life is but a brief second in time,
bathing in the ecstasy of a given moment,
happiness is really a mere state of mind.

There is only one secret to the life we live,
our wants aside we’ll discover the rapture,
replacing greed and hate, our hearts we give,
only then, the true meaning we’ll capture.

The splendor of nature’s essences so rare,
beauty and substance completes the soul,
allowing the spirit the freedom to share,
destroying our greed’s self destructive toll.
