A single leaf floating in the air,
thing of beauty in it’s own right,
fluttering softly here and there,
as if suspended, what a sight.
It’s in no hurry upon it’s way,
the wind raises it up to the sky,
giving importance to the day,
perfection, never wondering why.
So many mysteries there to ponder,
the leaf is propelled across the blue,
fast moving world, minds wander,
never seeing that which is true .
Life’s journey, a leaf in the wind,
faith decides whether we float or fall,
along for the ride from where it begins,
hoping not to crash or hit the wall.
The leaf lands gently upon the earth,
sadly, very few notice it’s passing,
back to the land that gave it birth,
for nothing but time is everlasting.
