A poem about sharing with nature the best of ourselves, the most authentic part of us.

Poem Artwork

To touch a leaf upon a tree and watch it shiver with delight
and when the sun comes out to play to watch it swing and sway
To gaze at shades of verdant greens intoxicated by their light
anticipating hugs of warm from arms that want to go away
this druid girl has had enough of cloud filled skies and endless nights

To bow to nature like a Queen and serve it like a Regal King
and as each thought of poor old me releases gifts of sympathy
I will bestow on Mother Earth my mended piece of broken wing
Perceptive with psychometry and mendicant telepathy
this alchemist of touch and smell will tip the balance of I Ching

To seize that moment of arrest when all the stars of heaven's pyre
are plum content to glow and shine above a sky of April wine
To fall in love beyond the hour with tenderness and deep desire
to take what has been given sure and leave behind what isn't mine
this medium girl will walk the marsh and swim across the Mystic Mire

Nothing short of full-throated song. Enchanting. There is a whole list of my favorite lines in here, and at the very top is “to take what has been given sure and leave behind what isn’t mine” — with lots of two-fer words that shine = April wine, medium girl, druid girl, plum content. I’m plum contented with this writing, Mystic. Thank you ever so much* ~~ the other Diana

TRULY, ALL NATURE WAS CREATED FOR, AND DOES 'EXACTLY' WHAT IT WAS MEANT TO DO...TO POINT US TO THE CREATOR, THE KING OF KINGS. AND AS WE KNEEL BEFORE OUR CREATOR, WE ARE DRAWN OVER AND ABOVE EVERY OBSTACLE... TO HIM, WHO IS OUR SUSTAINER AND EVERLASTING LORD AND GOD. THUS, INDEED, WE DO HOMAGE TO HIM, OUR HEALER, FOR HE ALONE IS OUR STRENGTH, DEPTH AND BREATH, THAT IS...OUR ALL AND ALL. SO GRATEFUL FOR WHERE THIS SHARING TOOK ME, MYSTIC...TO THE FEET OF OUR REDEEMER, JESUS. THANKS. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

We hear often about how nature speaks to and touches us, but we seldom hear about how we reach out and touch nature. Beautifully expressed "across the Mystic Mire."

Lots of natural immersion into the soul of earthly rhythms and roles. A pleasure to read and relax.

Lovely verses and so apt, timely, and meaningful considering the state of this world (planet and its people) spiritually and physically. Mankind has abused our home and Mother Nature clearly is showing her displeasure. Love, peace, and best wishes to you Vienna (Mystic Rose),

Regis. 🌎🙏🌷🌸

As usual your prose entertains and touches the heart and soul of the romantics. Nicely done...

I love your poem, Rose. Eloquent, wise and mystically beautiful.
