A delicate mist of green
abounds my path along the river.
Baby buds, minute blurs,
one next to the other
like dim watercolor spatters
created with a toothbrush.
The very first indications of spring
for those whose appreciation
allows them cognizance.
The fragile mists will change daily.
They will become larger speckles
and their heady aroma will excite my senses.
I am new birth, like the infantile green.
I am renewed and growing each day.
Nature keeps me aware of myself,
my steps and degrees.
Nature takes hold of our lives
and flows with our intensities.
So delicately beautiful and observational: spiritual and tender, too. You paint words so like a canvas, Janet - there is no doubting that you are an artist. Love the impressionistic qualities of this. I just wish I had your eyes and could carry what they see through to my hands. Wonderfully evoked and precisely detailed. TY Kate xx
I love taking walks when its foggy, or misty, outside. I like the peaceful solitude that I feel, a totally different experiance than loneliness, but a sense of feeling okay in my own skin I guess. This is great poetry.

Janet I have a poem in which I call spring the pregnant season.
It is the time of new birth it's an incredible time and
this is a beautiful poem to match that wondrous mystery.
Yep going out in the yard and seeing the bursts of green coming through even the sand from a branch that I picked crystal out of is really interesting. Even if I do sneeze like Jerry put it.

Ah, nature, it's such a wonderful . . . A-Choo! . . . 'scuse me, as I was saying nature brings out the very best in . . . A-Choo! . . . darn it, I quit. A-Choo!
Explore the mystery of how nature makes unexpected gifts of creative wonders to an unsuspecting caregiver one late night and early morning in southeastern Georgia, USA.
