The Jackson vine travels
across wood and hot scratchy roofing.
Slow growing plant,
like southern utterances.
Young tender shoots
leap into the atmosphere
lost and waiting for direction.
A guiding hand to
place them alongside older growth.
Tiny leaves cling to dark green
and join the journey.
Yep, this allegory speaks volumes and gets us back to our roots at one level and gives us the will to strive onwards and upwards at another. Guiding hands, nurture and compost of encouragement welcome at all stages! Much said BEAUTIFULLY in few sensitive lines. TY Kate xx
Wow Janet this is one analogy that is superb in it's realism, and looking at life and children and grandchildren this is so beautiful to contemplate in a world so screwed up at times. Very nice work Janet.

I don't know what exatcly the Jackson vine is, but I know more now after reading your take on it. Very nice, Janet. Super industrial strength, huh? Somehow I doubt that. LOL
