Thanks to Michael Messineo I find myself writing about my own expiration...

Expiration Date…

Now that I know for sure,

That is my for sure fate,

I have this expiration date,

Attached to my personal zipper,

Yes it is attached to the gate of my pants…

When is it for, I have no idea, can’t see that well,

If you can see that date, would you do me a favor and tell?

Unless if it is expired, that could only mean I have done the same,

Meaning I am not writing this, not my physical body, how would I then explain?

Hey, if milk and bread and things unsaid,

Can have dates of expiration, why not my head,

I am here to say; well at least part of me is,

If I expired prior, I did not see a light, only the color of red,

What the heck do you suppose that might mean,

Maybe I was cremated starting at my feet and working up to my head…?

Maybe better yet I should up the prescription my doc gave me,

Yes you know the one, the one that is for all the pills I take, yes my meds,

Then better that I may feel, and you will know I am not so much dead…

Oh, my word, Ed! Must you send me back to philosophy class? ROFL. First it was the deep thinkers with the dreaming or not dreaming question. Now it's you: expired or not expired? I'll be checking my tag all day. Well done.

You got an expiration date on your zipper?
Is it written on your li'l flipper?
Can't be too careful with the li'l skipper.
So damn the date and win one for the gipper!
