Meeting Ends…

Are ends really supposed to meet?

Is it just because it makes them look neat?

If ends were supposed to come together,

Don’t you think they would have instructions?

Hopefully they would not come incomplete…

If ends were supposed to find each other,

Wouldn’t we have been told by our mother?

Or someone else yes probably another,

So few words do rhyme with the mother…

So get yourself back out to work,

Build up your bank account, don’t be a jerk,

Even if you only do work as a shopping clerk,

We all must eventually make ends meet,

Sometimes so hard, this end meeting feat…

I prefer the ends which come with instructions. Most of my ends are frayed at this point. Another good write.

Splendid, Ed!
One of your best yet...at least crazy Annie thinks so.
I love to read (and write) poetry that was 'pulled'
from an instantaneous reflection on something.
This is one of those...

Are ends really supposed to meet?

This is truly a mind-boggling question, and now I'll be thinking about this all damn day. Thanks a lot, buddy.
