Accumulations...or Another Middle of the Night Write

Humorish sort of, I had to write tonight or lose any more sleep, that muse just wouldn't allow me to nod off...

Accumulations…or Another Middle of the Night Write…

Junk piled on my nightstands,

Disc music from favorite bands,

Books received from noted authors,

Plenty of reading material in my hands…

Woke up, ostensibly to pee,

Ended up writing again, that you can see,

Wish I could every time I do write, charge a fee,

But the more you read, the more you learn of me…

Not much room in my bedroom to accumulate,

Glad for that or I wouldn’t be able to move,

I even, when I clean, seem to find that lost plate,

The one I used to burn a candle on,

Wondered did I what would eventually be its fate…?

Looking around the camper,

Rufuz did for the night on his couch, scamper,

He knows his place, more comfortable there,

The dog has a life of leisure, but he takes care of me so fair…

Room to move in the bedroom at a premium,

Hard to even change the sheets so why do it,

The only ones to sleep there are us,

So why go to all that trouble, why make a fuss…?
