Goodnight...

Too Pooped to Poet…

Went to work tired and with a headache,

Came home the same way so don’t mistake,

I would never tell you a falsehood; I do not herein fake,

I guess for the most part I am most of the time a flake…

So tired do I be,

Ready to fall in bed and from the world flee,

Looking forward to dreaming this night,

Looking forward to my dreams to take flight,

I really just want to sleep for ten hours,

So please be nice and don’t tell me to go fly a kite…

Will see you all tomorrow,

From another greater poet than I, I must borrow,

One single line, though I forget who did say it,

I appreciate your stopping in and saying hi,

But let me here relate to you the way I do feel,

     “To sleep, perchance to dream…”

Good night to all and to all a happy night…!

I agree it is better to just rest and get back with us. That is why I catch up when I do not feel good.
