Poem Artwork

Better than six feet under,

Hope I don’t get there by blunder,

The gods do of me tear the heavens asunder,

They can’t make up their minds, to kill me or of my body plunder…J

Another day outside a box,

Even when I do eat cream cheese and lox,

My cholesterol numbers are higher than my taxes,

Everytime I eat, I can feel my arteries harden like rocks…J

My blood still flowing, well almost,

To a god my body is a lousy host,

Someday I may do better as a ghost,

But right now gotta stay above ground,

Eating as much as I can of roast…J

Yeah, you too can have a body like mine if you're not careful, but who cares, I enjoy being inside it. Come on in and have a burger!

You should eat healthy food. Besides, the day you have to go, you'll go. Nothing can alter that, so worry about today only, let tomorrow care for itself. Victor
