Never before had I heard,

Of Colorado having snow troubles,

Airports closing, roads backed up,

So Colorado, what’s going on, what’s up…?

Getting too old to be part of the snow belt?

Maybe everyone should move to Florida where it would melt,

New Jersey has had its share of snowstorms, I admit,

But I don’t recall NJ going through any of this Colorado sh**…

Here I thought the people of Colorado were tough,

But come to find out that only around their edges are they rough,

Sure the snow is a bitch to deal with, especially twice in a week,

But now the rest of the country knows just how people there knees are quite altogether weak…J

We in the north got hammered in what is usually our spring. Many feet of snow are still laying on the grounds. The kids have the right idea........many new forts and tunnels.........the answer is always to look on the bright side.........now we are warm as if entering the beginning of spring.....could it be global warming? Bring on the sun!

Snow? Oh! I got it! Its that white, kinda fluffy stuff that floats down from the sky on occasion! I am with ya'! Took a while to process, but I remember reading about it before! Not your every day occurence here in West Texas, though.

Give em hell, Ed!

Freakish weather seems to be the norm now in this world. Many people, when they are taken suddenly out of their comfort zones, rail for awhile until they realize that there is nothing they can do to change it.

I was born in Chicago, lived in Canada, and also Alaska for awhile. I remember living on Kodiak Island for three months, its the first large Island in the Aleutian chain. Sheesh man - in one day it rained, it snowed, the sun came back out and the snow melted, there was a wind storm, and then it snowed again.

wow...I have to assume that most people in Colorado are from the warmer states. I live in northern Illinois and we are STILL waiting for a decent snowfall. Go figure....lol!

I agree with William Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...here in Kentucky where we should be seeing some of that snow, it's been in the sixties and I think I see my spring bulbs trying to spring up! I'll take just a small portion of the snow....
Blessings,

Yeah, what's with these cry babies? And with you pampered Jersey types? Wanna see snow - come on up to the great northwoods - to the totally snowed in - Pink Flamingo Sanctuary - if you can find the road.

Ha ha! Ed you got to see it to believe it; it's the in your face kinda snow that gets into every orifice imaginable, why plow when it covers the road back over in twenty minutes. Colorado snows don't fall like goose-feathered snow flakes, it blows through like a mini hurricane creating white out conditions in many places, but when it's over its beautiful, endless pristine white snow dunes and an erie quiet.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
I am over all that, used to shovel my butt off
during snow storms.....No More
so, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
Peace be with you

wishing you and family
a Happy New Year Ed (Rufuz too)

If you consider the altitude and the amount of snow that came down on them, I think you might be able to get a grip on the magnitude of what they went through. The last storm came through here on it's way up to Colorado. It shut down quite a bit here, perhaps even our airport for a day or so, it was a heavy and very cold storm, and though Denver is about the same altitude as Albuquerque, it is much more forested and there is no way to make the icy and winding mountain roads safe, so they usually they just close them down. The press is really running with this, though, because Denver Airport (aka Mile High Airport) closes often in the winter due to snow or ice...but you can be sure that all the ski resorts are open for business and doing fine. I lived in Ohio for about 5 years before moving here...New Mexico's dry powder doesn't scare me, but the crazy drivers, who don't have a clue, do.

Take care,

Sherry

The Wholly Book of Genesis by Jay Dubya

The Wholly Book of Genesis is a humorous satire on the first book of the Old Testament where the Story of Creation, the building of Noah's Ark, Sodom and Gomorrah and the families of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are thoroughly spoofed and broadsided.
