At least the cartoon is funny...

Poem Artwork

Go to bed at midnight,

Would like to sleep till its light,

Instead I awaken at two in the morning,

And don’t go back to bed till the light…

With no reason to be in the day awake,

Its nicer to be asleep with nothing at stake,

And its so much quieter to be up in the dark,

I pray my schedule goes back to normal,

When back to work I do finally & hopefully embark…

I went through a bout of this once. For some reason, I found myself addicted to bread at the same time. Nothing on it...just plain bread. Not sure why the two went hand in hand. Good luck with this!

I usually try and sleep my insomnia off. My eyes too awaken around the same time as yours and without my permission. Good dreams have been disrupted, never getting to know what happened at the end of them. Thankfully, my daughter was in one of these interrupted dreams the other day so she was able to tell me what happened.
Try listening to Mary Poppins sweetly crooning 'Go to Sleep'. It worked on the two spoiled brats. Ah, but much better still, listen to Lennon yawning either, 'I'm Only Sleeping' or 'I'm So Tired.' Both sung as if he is real tired. Good to listen to with a nice rum and touch of coke in hand.

Just last night was in discussion with several nieces about medications - one a RN her whole life, her daughter, a Bio-Chem major, two others who are vetinary assistants - I questioned whether BENADRYL really made people drousy or sleepy - consensus was yes - was told that 25 mg. was normal OTC dosage.

DOLLAR TREE stores down here have ACETAMINOPHEN PM - 50 caps . 500 mg. each, with BENADRYL - that's what is upposed to help sleep (pm part) - for a BUCK!

Knowing you have a pain problem & now a sleeping one - have you tried? My niece the nurse told me that 2 caplets = 1,000 mgs. is MAX single dose.

Please note that I am NOT prescribing - only informing! ASK YOUR DOCTOR * or in today's TV AD terminology - TELL YOUR DOCTOR !!!

Glad I don't suffer from insomnia; that must be rough! I pray you get a restful sleep soon, and I am still praying for job/finances for you! God bless you, Ed!

TELL me about it, Ed - and if I take a nap in the middle of the day, you can hang sleeping at all at night ... sigh. Twin sis can take a nap, go to bed, sleep all night. Me, fergiddaboud it. :( Hear you, feel your frustrations - still praying for a job for you!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

It's called 'Getting Old,' Bro! We sleep too much as we enter this world, and we never seem to sleep enough, as we age and prepare to leave it. Maybe we're not supposed to miss anything on the way out.

My sleeoing wasn't good last night after the move. Moonlight shown in all night, kitty roamed about most of the night, I drank too much iced tea and water, had to get up every 2 hours. Finally at 8 a.m. up for the day. Very tired. Hope you can settle down and maybe read a book today as I am doing for relaxation.

Well Ed I too suffer from insomnia and have for the past few years. I am lucky if I sleep 3 to 4 hours all through the night and that is adding up the times between being up. Good luck.
