Got stopped the other night,

But for a change the cop did not get it right,

Instead of driving under the influence,

I wasn’t drunk, just had to go,

And behind the wheel that really does blow…

But still I did get busted,

Damn cop did think I was at least maladjusted,

That cop was an old one, most crusted,

You can well imagine I was quite all together disgusted…

So to the jail he took me to be charged,

He didn’t believe my tale of not drinking,

I tried to explain to him that I REALLY had to go,

Still he did not believe of me with my tale of woe,

In the end he came around and charged me with DWI,

It comes with old age, DRIVING WHILE INCONTINENT…

Your willingness to share life's awkward moments via your verses is a delight that brings smiles to others, Ed. Thank you. Love and peace to you,

Regis

P.S.

It's a fact that Ed just had to whiz
And it really was not the cop's biz
But he threw Ed in jail
Demanded some bail
Which shows this cop is no whiz

Ahhh...poetry. I'll gather the children...
And now...a reading...

Oops- this is for us adults who understand it only too well- but seldom put it in song.
:)

Dear old Ma to your rescue - again. She says for Christmas, she got you one of those Long Distance Trucker Pee Bottles with the long suction hosing "They can Pee, Pee, Pee, and just keep on truckin!"

I'm a little concerned about Ma though; she started hangin out at truckstops again.
