Poem Artwork

When entering my Den you do,

Beware of loose women & pickpockets too,

Don’t wear a toupee’,

Cause you might lose it in an ensuing fray…

How can women be loose,

Unless it is in their heads they are short,

Normally they seem to act like a silly goose,

Maybe this line of writing I’d do better to abort…

As for pocket pickers,

Better than stealing your knickers,

Seems to happen more so to people,

That do live in cities, being then city slickers...

What could make one sicker,
Than being a slicker,
Without one's knickers?

Ma says get rid of the pickpockets and the loose women or she's never visiting your Den, again.

A fellow from Jersey named Ed
Is a poet or so it is said
He spins quite a yarn
In salon or barn
This proves his head's not made of lead

Your humor always inspires me, Ed. Sorry 'bout that, friend. Lol
Love and peace,

Regis

I still remember my wallet being lifted in Times Square on New Years eve. However as usual it was empty.
Good write, Ed.
