It ain't long for this world...

Poem Artwork

I got a new phone,

I HATE its guts,

I am going to kill it,

It’s driving me nuts…

I know it’s a short drive,

I am not kidding,

I keep thinking of ways to kill it,

It’s taken all my strength to keep it in one piece,

I just don’t like it & want to give it eternal peace…

The touch screen is too sensitive,

I wanna drop it in the toilet; I don’t want it to anymore live,

And this “querty” thing is not a typewriter,

Gonna take to the whole thing a cigarette lighter…J

My mother always said, "When all else fails- read the directions."
But you know what?
She NEVER had a cell phone.

Ed, enjoyed your rant, missed them, glad I'm back.
PS. that's not a phone, it's a Hobbits typewriter.

Just go out to the Boardwalk and hold it in your hand - someone will soon grab it from you and run - the most stolen item these days is a Smart Phone.

This is funny! Can't believe how many of us feel the same way. I, too, have the old fashioned one, and will never do my banking on a phone, or even text.

So far, I have managed to do without a mobile phone. I understand your frustration though. Love and peace,

LOL Funny, Ed. I hear you loud and clear. I have a simple cell phone. It is to make PHONE CALLS! PERIOD!

SMART PHONES? The only single SMART thing about them goes to the companies that make them (all China most likely) and the companies that charge ludicrous monthly fees to keep us foolish Americans plugged in.

SMART PHONES? Not for people who are SMART!

Oh, I am so with you on this.
I have only ever had one of these. It is 12 years old and I have no reason to change it. It is only ever switched on if I am travelling some distance alone at night, or if the mainline goes down. It's simple, it makes calls and receives texts.
What more do I want :o)

Ed, I understand perfectly.
I have no cell phone,
No use or desire.
I'll stand by my landline,
Connected by a wire.
