“FANTASY”
Fantasies are my way to relax,
Dreams of this and that,
But never of how much it costs,
Or of its tax.
Motor homes, boats & houses,
These are my fantasies,
Learned and perfected while in the jailhouse,
No one to talk to prior to sleep, just the mouse,
So, I talked to myself & made plans,
The guard must have thought I was sans,
But it kept me sane, or a reasonable facsimile thereof.
I still do it, fantasize that is,
To de-stress after days of non-bliss,
Dreams of traveling in my new motor home,
Of seeing and staying all over the country,
Just the thrill of the perpetual roam.
Then there is the travel by boat,
Up & down the east coast,
Thru the Great Loop,
That is the trip with the most,
First the inter-coastal, then certain rivers,
Parts of the Great Lakes, & to boat thru Chicago,
What a great sounding trip!
Then the dreams of homes in far off places,
A log cabin in the heights of the Rockies,
A shore house in my hometown,
Not to mention an extra home in the Keys,
Those are some of my major fantasies,
Things I would do if I had the abilities,
These things, planning them, truly relax me,
If you find stress to be overbearing,
Try what I do you may be surprised,
To learn that it helps,
And if not, what can it hurt?
Fantasies & dreams are always fun…

Nothing wrong with them, Ed. That's why we write.

Reminded me of that song: These are a few of my favorite things...lol.
