Door to Door Religion Sales...

Why must they come to my door preaching the gospel? Bother & bore someone that is into it, or I will let lose Rufuz, as he was sleeping too...

Door-to-Door Religion Sales…

Repent, or so the Christians say,

As Lent is well on its way,

Christ too, may be returning,

As so they are yearning…

But for me, being Buddhist,

I find I am not worried what comes my way,

For as the Buddha does say,

One cannot change the future or the past,

Only make the present so much better,

             So it will last…

So I won’t ever repent in the Christian sense,

They can do as they please,

As I give no pretense,

That I am very happy with my choice,

Of the beliefs & philosophies I have expounded upon

                                just hence…

So please don’t come to my door,

With bible in hand and be to me a bore,

As I always try to listen out of respect,

But don’t push me too far,

Or I will slam the door at your next furthermore,

And, so help me, I will do it happily,

With little worry of the future,

    I do hereby implore…

Ah, but Ed, Buddha said be kind to all living creatures because you never know what you may return as in the next life - on your long arduous journey to Nirvana.

What if you come back as a Door to Door Religion Salesman??!!

i hate it when people try to hawk their beliefs on me; i don't do it to them, so why should they do it to ME?? i try to keep my beliefs to myself, but if i feel like sharing my beliefs with others, i will, but i try not to be forceful about it. i did that once, and all it got me was into a lot of trouble; so i don't do it anymore. i am not ashamed to talk about jesus christ to others, but i am not that good at witnessing yet. i tell others (jehovah's, mormons, etc.) that i believe in Jesus Christ and that I am a Christian and I am not interested; and won't let them continue. I'd just as soon as slam the door in their faces! (I sure would hate to come to your house; rufuz would probably take a bite out of my leg...YIKES! LOL noooo, thinks i will stay away on THAT note...LOL)

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend, karen lynn in tx. :D

I may not believe in Buddha, but that is your choice, and I am NOT going to force my beliefs on you; I KNOW better for one thing! LOL

(((ed)))

we all have our beliefs, but i try to keep mine to myself, and let my light shine before men. :) i wish i had the "nerve" to talk to others about Christ, but i can't--so i try to live it. if someone wants to know about Him, then i tell him what He's done for me.

some people go to far...been harrassed by mormons, jehovah's witnesses, and many others...i politely tell them i'm not interested, i believe in Jesus, and He's all i need. :)

LOL at picturing rufuz *woof* being "sicced" on religious "workers" just make sure they don't turn around and sue *turn the other cheek LOL*

(((HUGS))) and hope it gets better--good rant!

love,

karla. :)

"Door to Door Religion Sales..." delivers profound observations with wit words. Very intriguing and sage points here.
