The favorite number of this poet, is the above and below, by the end of this poem you will never forget this number...

          “69”

My favorite number is “69”,

My favorite two words are sixty-nine,

Well maybe besides sex & drugs,

But still “69” is a favorite of this mug.

“69” is, lets see, a position of a sexual nature,

Where both partners can do the other,

Okay, so some will think my mind is in the sewer,

But only those who are not mature,

But to make your partner,

Feel like soup du jour,

Is the ultimate in feeling so cocksure.

If you look at my life,

You will find,

       “69”

In all areas that are considered mine,

When I whine,

There you will find “69”,

When I shine,

Again you will find “69”,

When down the third base line,

You will find the number on my jersey,

That of, yes you guessed it right,

                    “69”.

When visiting the coastline,

You will find me writing in the sand,

And that write will be that of, of course,

                   “69”.

Well, there is one place you will NOT find  "69”,

That is in my waistline,

But it is only a matter of time…

Don’t be lookin’ at my picture,

As most things I wear sport the number “69”,

As well as the picture might put you in mind,

              Of Frankenstein…

So what was that number again,

In case you don’t recall,

It was “69”, just a matter of reversing the numbers,

Taking the numbers 6 & 9, that’s six & nine,

To those who can’t count,’

And placing them together to form,

Again, yes I have got to say it,

                    “69”

Yes I know I went a bit over the waterline,

With this expanded explanation of my favorite number,

But better this than to do so clandestine,

So remember to have a Happy New Year and,

Sing that old favorite auld lang syne,

Which will help to realign,

Your time-line for the coming year.

And don’t forget to send wishes to my favorite canine…

The Wholly Book of Genesis by Jay Dubya

The Wholly Book of Genesis is a humorous satire on the first book of the Old Testament where the Story of Creation, the building of Noah's Ark, Sodom and Gomorrah and the families of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are thoroughly spoofed and broadsided.
