“COLLEGE DEGREE”
I realize I have asked this before,
But sitting here PONDERING again,
Are my poems quite up to snuff?
Or are they the stuff,
That most college profs,
Would mark with a big “F”?
And tell me that, as usual, I am full of stuff n' fluff...
I mean I have not seen any formal train,
The closest of which is playing with my Lionels,
Woo Woo said the choo choo, and like that.
I just really wonder if I was to take a class,
At a local college for the writing of poetry,
Does anyone out there in Authors Den land,
Possess that of a certificate or college degree,
To tell me if all or maybe just some of these poems,
And rants, raves, or discussions with my “id”,
Are really worth the effort for others to read,
Or could be worth that of a associates or bachelors,
degree…
Or should I change my mind regards a class in poetry,
And maybe take a class in the enviromental
sciences,
Specifically, care and maintenance of a sewer?

your poems are not stuff 'n' fluff. they come from your heart. and your heart seems to strike me as being warm and fluffy. :) i love the way you write.
we, as authors, will never be satisfied with our own works; we are our own worst critic. (thank God for Author's Den, though, and all of the friends we've made here...they'll help you feel better about your writes).
if i was good, i'd be published...that's what i'm always telling myself...sigggghhhhhhhhh, mebbe someday :)
o, well...write, because you want to, not for somebody else...as i always say: I write, because I live; I live, because I breathe; I breathe, because of God; because of God, I write. :)
