Sort of humor, not much else to call it actually...

Poem Artwork

NO DESIRE…

No desire of late to get high,

Usually a way for me to get ideas,

But just not into it the last few days,

Better, I have found, ways,

To spark my brain waves,

To bring about poetic rays…

Did a long 700-mile plus run today,

And even then the ideas did not flow,

Not, again, in a snare as stated prior,

Just don’t seem to have that certain glow, this day…

I am sure it will come back,

As I always seem to find myself at lack,

Just before I go off the deep end,

And write a bunch,

And do send,

Them, and post to Authors Den…

But this lack of desire to get a buzz,

Kinda bothers me just a bit,

I mean here I am with herb available to me,

And here I sit not interested or ready to be,

High, in any sense of the word or world,

Must be just desirous of taking a break,

It does work all the better when get back, I do,

Almost as if, I have just gotten an ounce of something new…

Isnt hooch illegal in your neck of the woods ED? Sure is here, your only allowed to grow it yourself, and three plants at that. SA is the only state mind you that i know of, other states its illegal all round i think.

Oh well, stay straight for a bit, and at least if you get an inspiration comes its a clear one hehe.

Just wait and be patient. Words that make poems are like visitors, they come and go as they wish though most often dependent on the way you treat them. Your feelings and desires are also a major factor to keep the visitors stay with you until you finish with them. An ounce of a new trail is worth a ton of footprints you already marked on the literary sand. A beautiful write.
