“THE PERMANENT VERTICAL SMILE”

No matter who we are,

No matter how grumpy,

No matter what size or shape,

No matter where we hail from,

No matter our color,

No matter our race,

Pretty or ugly,

Fat or thin,

Rich or poor,

Old or young,

And actually living or dead…

We all have or have had, if we are deceased,

A vertical smile that is of the permanent variety,

If we were to all walk around naked,

Our smile would be seen so obviously,

For it is our butt crack that is this smile…

So even though, some may say, “hey”,

“You never smile”, tell them that you are always smiling,

Just from the butt, rather than the mouth,

So this permanent smile is, if put in direction, in the south,

As often does humankind, we express ourselves, word-of-mouth…

I hope from this short poem you have learned,

That you are always smiling, no matter your mood,

But it is not generally accepted to show this other smile,

To anyone but possibly your own brood,

Unless you don’t mind getting arrested & sent up-the-creek, for awhile!?
