“CITY OVER THE HORIZON”

The city of gold,

Standing just over the horizon,

Can make there your fortune,

Or lose there the same…

This city is not one of old,

But new, of stone and steel,

Of glitter and lights,

Tourists from all over,

Arrive there on staggered flights…

Gone there myself, to find my riches,

Gone home broke, grousing my bitches,

They are not there to make me wealthy,

But just once,

Would love to win a few hundred grand…

Better to see it from afar, as I do this day,

Taking the picture from this far away,

I realize just how distant my chances,

Regarding winning are somehow,

                         NO-WAY!

You got to watch me win. That should be some consolation. Enjoyed the memories.

My mother and sister took a trip there and came back with a bit more then they had, not much, but some great gambling stories :-) I think the beach where you are standing taking the picture is a far better place :-)
