Flow from Within...

More or less ramblings, depending on how you view it...

Flow from Within…

My words they, obviously, flow from within,

More a river of torrent, a river of power,

They seem to flow with much violence,

They seem to be ever flowing, even when I sleep,

Maybe that is the reason I toss and turn, the blankets hard to keep…

This flow it permeates all of us,

It creates and nourishes our every must,

We find we write, we find we flow, we find we must everyday, go,

Go to the paper, to the typewriter, to the computer screen,

We all must, in our addiction, write till we seem we will bust…

This is it for me, and so I trust,

The same for other writers & poets of the same vein,

There may be some, I have found, that seem to be vain,

But not so many here on AD, fortunately for me, as I cannot stomach,

That type of person, that type of “Cain”,

They seem the type that would stab their brother in the back,

Just for some sort of monetary gain,

But it will bite them in the back, eventually,

As does it for all, bad karma is something that catches us all, someday…

So allow me to here say,

That my flowing river of torrent and permanent reign,

Will continue, no matter the amount of rain,

That brings on the arthritic pain,

That will make it difficult for me to type,

But with the gods help and drugs for the pain,

You will find that I have permanently slain,

Any pain I have and allow me to not abstain,

From more writes to make you day more humorous,

                    LESS PLAIN…

A biographical lilt here, eh, Ed? I trust you have spoken for many. I liked your use of some internal, extended rhymes early in the piece... then you rhyme with abandon in the last verse.. making it a cool read AND an adventure as well. I'm curious that you put it in "humor"... it's rather 'painfully' revealing, I'd say. Hello to Rufuz... and his lovely virginity! (grin) Maybe if he wrote a poem he'd win the heart of a fair mammal/maiden. This is good stuff, Ed. katy xox.
