I woke up to the wavy whistling wind

Swinging through the trees so green

It gushed and  puffed at  window in my room

 Hurried on elsewhere soon

Still quiet ,the dawn  was  coming on

The pale blue sky shows the night is gone

The Sun was yet to make its majestic move

The chirping birds and  rustling  leaves  sound

The  trees swaying stood in the background scene

First the green African parrots  perched on my sill

Looked  each  other in the eye and were still

Sat one on top and the other below

Hopped and hopped to meet and peck

Kissed  with  beaks so red  they locked

The feathers  trailed behind like a princess’s veil,

Quietly flew away  one north and  other to south

It was the turn of sparrows  to  make love

The two  twittered,and perched soon

On to the same window sill

Tightened its small feathery  soft bodies

Quietly mated,without a sound

It lasted but a few seconds

Here and there it looked then turned to tweet

And they too moved away so soon

But the crow and raven  never in pair came

For all they cared was some fish and  bread

Pigeons  most passionate amongst  birds all

Restless with a look so lost,

Flapping its wings it slowly moved
Never from each other separate whoever  shooed

Kept coming back, the two always wooed
Widened  its wings, and simply cooed

Soon perched on its patner as if she was a tree

Pressed the poor bird down till it shook free

Then it pecked and pecked on it many a time

The she bird took it all  as if she did a crime

Remained with each other   glued

Multiplied at will dime to a dozen still

That makes us humans so different a species

From  creatures that are wild but free

They can  mate and move  far away

No case of law  or wows to share

Not knowing  what is sin and sinning

Make their nests and breed as many

Alas, the turmoil is on the mind of man

For  wine, women and wealth at times

How much  war we  humans make

For the love to pursue his  passions many

To make the boundaries of his land

Is not like drawing on  sand

He may end up loosing  one and all

Still  likes being human  from all
