Here’s a tale I heard some where that I probably destroyed, So I put it in poetry that could be enjoyed.

The Plane Ride

Jess took Lucille to the local air field to get, their first airplane ride,
It would be really neat and quite a nice treat to see the whole countryside,

But their ten minute flight was way outta sight, Costing ten dollars per minute,
Jess said this ain’t real that’s not a good deal, I’ve got other places to spend it

The pilot said Hey, there might be a way we can still fly within your budget,
I’ll make you a deal when I clear the airfield, No talking and I’ll let you judge it,

For every word muttered or call out uttered, it’ll cost you a ten every time,
But if you want to try it and you can be quiet , the plane ride won’t cost you a dime,

When Put that away,Jess was Happy to say, Is your offer really for real ?,
Lucille she ain’t much, for talking and such, Mister Pilot I think you’ve got a deal,

The Pilot would grin as he knew plain as sin, that hunderd he’d pocket real quick,
With a roar and a dare , he took to the air and soon he had tried every trick,

The pilot did swooping and then he tried looping He even flew upsde down,
But He had to land it ,still couldn’t understand it, Dang! they had not made a sound,

Said I’ve flown the old , the meek and the bold and everyone let out a bawl,
But you folks were tough and came through the rough without a cry out or squall,

I’d never lost yet , but you won the bet , I still can’t believe it was real
I’ve never known, two folks that I’ve flown , to come through without even a squeal

This was a dare devil flight, with the greatest of fright it even scared me to try,
I can’t believe that you , who’ve never before flew could get by without even a cry,

Jeff said, We won but I nearly came undone when fear caused me a terrible strain
I had to get a firm grip and really bite my lip when Lucille fell outta the plane.

Lucille, poor Lucile, the butt of the joke who never spoke, but she sure probably let out a squeal!

Sorry, I couldn't laugh at this one. I can't get her to ride with me anymore and when she does, I can't shut her up. ;-)
