From a firehouse somewhere - this a Jeanie story

Dalmatian Dog

Miss Grant took her preschool class to the big firehouse in town,
They were all excited, just to see the things they’d never been around,

Wouldn’t you know it, the big red engines and bright fire fighting clothes ,
Were awesome new and thrilling, but the kids passed on all of those,

They lined up because the chief said that they all got,
To pet the Fire House Station mascot,

The Dalmatian was the visit hit, it was plain to see
Miss Grant asked , “ Can any body tell me what his job should be?”

Lttle Johnny piped up saying,"They’ve got big long ladders that might fall down from the stack.”
”I think that when they’re fighting, he keeps the people back,”

Then spoke Billie Johnson , “ No I think that when you see him riding up there in that truck,
He’s only going to the fire Alarm to bring the firemen luck .”

But Jeanie had the answer when she, firmly said, “Miss Grant!
They need the big Dalmatian dog to find the fire hydrants!”
