Forgive me all, but I just had to try telling this oldie poetically.
The River Crossing
It was Sunday my day off , boy was I ever wrong. ,
The boss said get this parcel to that miner ol’man Long,
I tried my best to hold him off, that ol’river was really bad ,
Down I went into that canyon just a little more than mad,
The day was cold and the storm had set the crossing bridge a drift,
But the Long’s miner cabin sat near a cable lift,
I’m not the greatest when it comes to mechanical stuff,
But Long’s blondie daughter Mindy, made things impossibly tough,
Yelling Blondie when I saw her; she came back with whatta you got to bring,
I yelled back, “Go get your Dad, I need to operate this thing!
I need to get to the other side of the river, I’ve a package to deliver,
Stunningly she yelled back loud and clear, “Dummy! you’re already on the other side of the river!”
Thankfully, most of these jokes that you are poetizing are so old I've never heard of them.
This one is about the dumbest, stupidest, lamebrainest blonde joke I've ever heard. And to think that I had a hard on for blondes (only girls) in my youth… Only to find out that 90% of them had dark roots when you got right down to it close up and personal.
Farctured Frazzled Folk Fables and Fairy Farces, Part II satirizes popular children's stories into adult-oriented renditions. FFFF &FF, Part II is also available in Amazon Kindle and Barnes and Noble e-book formats.
The Wholly Book of Genesis is a humorous satire on the first book of the Old Testament where the Story of Creation, the building of Noah's Ark, Sodom and Gomorrah and the families of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are thoroughly spoofed and broadsided.
