Gimme a Break


Dang it’s hotter than blazes out there,
Sure would be nice to find a little cool air,

Don’t know about this world wide warming up stuff,
At this time of year it’s always been tough,

Thank God for the big trees and all of that shade,
Just can’t believe what a difference it’s made,

Guess I’m sitting pretty , here I’m gonna stay,
And I’ll fight off anyone to keep it that way,

Life has been wonderful, except here, of late
That ol’wife is forgetful, boy she used to be great,

Mixed the best drinks from about anywhere ,
And I can’t complain , I’ve had more than my share,

But damn wouldn’t you know it, it’s been a whole week’
I’m chasing my butt off while she sits and sleeps,

I’m plumb outta juice , and in case you ain’t heard,
That really makes it tough for a male Humming Bird
