Snake !

She said, Hon , Come Quick , just look ,at that sneak,
That green ol’garden snake is back; You chased him off last week,

Yeah, it’s the same one; looks like it to me.
Gotta be the dumbest garden snake you will ever see,

Can’t have him around, on this lawn anyway,
He’ll scare off the Grandkids; they’ll be here today,

Gotta be a something ,maybe scare him underground,
I don’t wanna kill him, with these gophers all around,

I said Hon I think I figured out , what it might possibly be
The answer is lying yonder by the big ol’shady tree,

I’ll just move things around to that peach tree out back,
There’s privacy and solitude around the ol’tool shack,

It’s the serpent mating season and reckon I suppose,
Ol Greenie he’s done fell in love with your pretty garden hose,

I think he’ll get the message if he ain’t all ready,
A garden hose is terribly fickle; they never will go steady,

So prepare yourself for sorrow , of a deep and hurting ache,
From a sad and lonely broken hearted Green ol’ garden snake..
