couldn't resist writing about my goat

Curley,

Reckon my name is . Curley, at least that’s what he wrote,
Never had a name before, everybody called me goat,

But here I got this guy’s needling me, Boy does that thing hurt,
Says if I don’t come out of it, he’s covering me with dirt.

Said I needed medicine or my end was gittin near,
Gave me sugar water. Should a brought me a beer,

I tell you it’s a drag, trying to please this guy,
But I guess maybe some day maybe I’ll know why,

Here he comes again, maybe he’ll let me out,
This ol’horse trailer is something , I gotta tell you all about,

It stinks like goat and takes my breath away,
I sure wish that it would smell like pretty new moan hay,

But No ! The floor is wet from too much old goat pee,
And other stuff that’s in here too, that he blames on me,

I gotta remind him, I ain’t designed like you; You know ,
Where I can write my initials in the pretty banks of snow,

My drain is on the bottom and down there in the middle,
So I Don’t have a lotta say on just where I piddle,

Halleluiah ! He’s come to let me, go outside to breathe,
One more breath and I’ll be just as bad as that stuff I leave,

Wonder if he’s gonna hook me to that damn ol’cement bucket’
I’d sure like to tell him where he should a stuck it,

I gotta drag that sucker all over this stinking lot
Won’t put me with my buddies, they might git just what I got

They’re too mean anyway and Bully me around
I think they’re all just jealous, because I can walk around,

They don’t know it ain’t all just peaches, honey and cream,
But the leaves on the ladies roses taste a lot like great ice cream,

I sorta slip that way each day, to sneek a leaf or two,
I hide behind the cherry tree where the good ones grew

But ! You don’t know the wrath this lady can emit,
I’ve really gotta be careful and full time try to watch it;

Her laughing smile is really so much better ,
When I pass the roses up and really don’t upset her,

Oops, it’s gittin sundown , I think I heard him shout,
Git back in that trailer ! Thank God he cleaned it out,

Sometimes I really know I’m lucky, Thinks I’m wrapped around the finger of this Jerk
He can’t eat good red meat and the Bar_B Que don’t work !

It looks like this old goat has got an old goat for a master. ;-)

I would love to see the day that I hear hay moan! ;-)

On the other hand, there's nothing better than the smell of new mown hay. Makes me wonder why hay smells so bad when it comes out the other end.

I'd say you're quite a ham,
and humor's a good antidote.
I laughed like a kid,
with the story of your goat.
