An Honest Robot

Steve bought himself an honesty robot,
If you told a lie it would react like a shot,

A little whack for a little lie,
But for a major one Oh My!

Millie, his wife was hard to convince,
And she was already upset and tense,

Their teenage Bobby was late coming home,
He had never been one to go off and roam,

Upon his arrival, Steve said now son ,
You’re late getting home , what have you done?

Bobby replied, I was just studying late,
My test scores lately have not been that great,

That Robot reacted , nearly knocking him down,
Steve said ,don’t lie son, Robot’s not a Clown,

He knows you’re lying, so where have you been?
Down at Tommy’s watching weight lifting for men,

Ol’Robot , Hit harder without hesitating,
Son for the truth , we’re sitting here waiting,

OK,OK! I knew we couldn’t do it here,
Watched an “R” rated movie and drank a little beer,

Well son that’s much better, but when I was a kid ,
I never lied to my folks or run off and hid,

Ol’Robot reacted and gave, Steve a whack,
Nearly knocking him over with a hit in the back,

Millie broke up laughing at Steve in distress’
Saying Mister you really deserved that ,I guess,

You shouldn’t be so hard on Bobby like you’ve done ,
You know after all, he is your son,

Ol’Robot reacted, flew through the air ,
And knocked Millie flying right out of her chair ! OOPS !!!
