Mayonnaise

On 15 April 1912 the mighty Titanic of England went down,
Research examined and a strange fact was found;

Mexico was in the midst of a condiment craze,
Would you believe it, for real mayonnaise

Twelve thousand jars of the best was their order
Never ever figuring it would be lost in the water,

But lost it was as part of the cargo,
There’d be no mayonnaise for ol’Mexico,

A devastated people deprived without warning,
The Government established a full day of mourning,

It occurs every year , on May fifth and Oh,
You’ll hear it referred to as Sinko de Mayo
