Age Instead of Ego
Sometimes you just can’t view, what aging does to you,
The mirror’s gotta be lying, just because you want it to,
Age brings on many changes and some come like a thief,
Dentures are a problem and can bring you downright grief
Nancy now was anxious, This dentist was a new one ,
If he’s just getting started, ,This won’t be any fun,
Look his name is Amos Jackel! God, it can’t be the same,
There was a kid in my class in school, I’m sure that was his name,
As I remember, tall , good looking and had a crush on me,
This guy is bald and fat, so old, just couldn’t be,
That was forty years ago, no harm in just asking,
Are you temporary here or will your job be lasting,
He said,” Yes I’m a local , just moved back from Frisco
I grew up and graduated in sixty from Ol’North Fresno”,
Nancy couldn’t believe it, said, “ I graduated that year!
You would be the Amos Jackel that I knew from here,
I can’t believe the small world that we all live in,
I would never ever dream that we would meet again,
Don’t you remember the pretty Nancy Woodward, you had a crush on me,”
That ugly- fat- bald- headed- bastard- asked, “ What Teacher would you Be?”
