Sometimes the Wife Laughs

Sometimes the wife laughs at anything I say,
There’s other times when humor seems to go the other way,

A feller ought to learn, but knowing me,
I have been known to find myself up the proverbial tree,

I’ll admit that frequently, I come close to being a Louse!
I found out the tree is a whole lot safer than the ol’dog house,

‘”There’s an email on your computer, You better ,go and read,
Probably another ad from town. Something we don’t need,

I haven’t been there lately, wonder what it could be,”
This is where mistakes are made, especially for me,

I should have killed my thinking but you know that ain’t my way,
She was getting anxious stating, “Well what does it say ?”

Well, I faked the email message which wasn’t very smart,
And I tried to make the doorway, to get a running start,

“Jiffy Lube is ready for your broom for Halloween!”
You know For two whole days now , that’s the Last thing that I’ve seen.
