Another feller that drank too much.

Was it DUI

Officer you’re charged with gross brutality here,
Mister Boyles has good reason it would definitely appear ,

It seems from all his injuries, some which are still healing,
There’s very little doubt to know why he’s appealing,

The doctors report is right here, the worst I’ve ever seen,
Some injuries inflicted are terrible and mean,

He claims you accosted him and witnesses there are,
You grabbed an arm and wrestled him right out of his car,

I asked a number of witnesses any that would come,
You kicked him in the struggle , that was said by some,

Face injuries extensive, a lacerated leg and arm,
It’s hard to think an officer would cause him that much harm,

Say’s you tried to drown him, that I can’t believe,
I hope the Captain’s placing you, on mandatory leave,

Your Honor I’m not guilty, of this terrible charge,
I’ve never ever been accused, of anything this large,

You’ll notice I gave no ticket for his excessive speed ,
With all the other charges, there was just no need,

Yes I pulled him over just pass Fifth and Main,
He was blazing north like crazy in the south bound lane,

When I wrote him up he wanted, to get outside his car,
And yes I guess I ordered him, to stay right where you are,

You’re intoxicated, and please don’t interrupt,
You’re way too drunk for driving or even standing up,

He still though insisted, and argued with my Pleas,
With a curse, he slammed the car door open, injuring my knees,

Then yes I grabbed him roughly, as he scrambled out,
A witness may have heard, my very loud and painful shout,

Mister Boyles was kicking me until the ground he hit,
And In jumping pain , I may have stepped on him a little bit,

Anyone could see,he had a whiskey overload,
He Jerked away and staggered, straight across the Road,

I couldn’t stop him; almost hit a pick up truck,
He fell right over the guard rail into the bone dry aqueduct,

Maybe thought he was drowning, cause normally you could, ,
With it full of water , you most certainly would,

I couldn’t then get down to him, with injured knees so sore,
He suffered all those lacerations, When- He- Tried- to- Swim- to- Shore!
Case Dismissed !

The judge says, "Okay, case dismissed!" Then he went home and had Vodka on the rocks.

I believe the judge done got it wrong. By the time our drunk defendant fell over that rail, his eyeballs were surely floating.

Looks like the Judge was DUI, too, TL. The defense lawyer would harp on: 'And in jumping pain, I may have stepped on him a little bit.' - dry aqueduct or no. Besides, the Kennedys may not take it kindly for blaming their imported whiskey brand ! And if the "poem persona" (YOU) gets past that hurdle, Mister Boyles's attorney would pounce on another bit of brutality to convict: 'Then yes I grabbed him roughly, as he scrambled out,'. Guess your days are numbered with these rib-tickling - rather rib-bashing - series...(You're getting better and better at it, Tom. Keep up the good work. No need to excuse yourself - as you did on your blurb for the last entry.)
