Chicken Hop

You know today’s mod dancing resembles a drunken chicken,
And wallowing backward on the floor is like a demon stricken,

Me I’m not the best when it comes to dancing moves
But sometimes, I get outta joint and that only proves,

That what I’m sayin is really true , if you believe in fate,,
The other night , I was drinking some, after we had ate,

They had this competition dancing, and it looked really great,
I thought now after a drink or two I’d participate,

Well, two turned into three and a little wine as chaser,
I was slightly in my cups and needed a little bracer.

The bar was across the dance floor and I needed a refill
Boy the floor was really crooked, like up and down a hill,,

The place was kinda crowded and I bounced around a bit
Just about half way over I fell and took a crashing hit,

I rolled and scrambled to my feet; must have staggered some
I could have used a little help , but sadly no one come,

I finally staggered to the bar and turned in great surprise,
Everyone was clapping , I had won the dancing prize!
