Any Port in a Storm

Tough Forgiveness

Father, did you see, that drunken Bum come in?
Sister please, he came to us, to confess his sin,

He’s headed for the confessional booth, seems he’s in a run,
I’ll just walk on over, and see what can be done,

Father he’s beating on the wall, what could be so wrong?
Sister there’s no telling, maybe you should come along,

There, there, there, my good man, no need to beat upon the wall,
We understand the human nature, any man will fall,

There’s no need for rushing, I’ll join you in a minute ,
Let me pull this closet closed , I’ll be standing in it ,

Mister you better watch your step that stall’s a real deceiver,
I just barely made it , but there ain’t no paper in here either,

In a drunken haze, a man will still be able to find an adequate toilet. I have learned at our finest shopping mall, that the stairwells from the parking lot, possess an awful smell.

You reminded me of the time when I was recovering at home from my surgery and a local farmer boy of 18 would drive us around town lusting after girls we saw walking occasionally. But suddenly, he stopped in front of the Catholic Church, excused himself, and ran on in.

When he returned, he explained that he had not gone to confessional recently and needed to. All along I thought he might've had to go get rid of some of that coffee we had at Sano's Pizza that made me stop at gas stations. I wonder if he confessed what he was thinking about those girls we were looking for to give a ride to.
