You had me bursting out in laughter with this one. Couldn't get it done the first time, so tried again, huh? ;-)
Your funniest one yet. If you had turned him over to see what was bugging him in his back, he would have beer farted in your face. Hypothetically that is, because this is just a creative poem and never really happened, right? ;-)
G'day Tom. That's exactly what I'd love to do to my 'A-List' of today's 'in-your-face' politically left-of-center progressive politicians...step on their oxygen hoses! Either that or find some equally effective 'other' manner of subtly decreasing their Pa02 and increasing their PCO2 ratios! The only problem with that is that they'd have to already be in the CCU, hooked up to life support (meaning someone got to them first...take a number and join the queue, LoL).
As always, a refreshing new take on things, enabled by your amusing and entertaining poetic adroitness!
Hey, Tom, judging by your bar, car and bedside manner (even if you get strung up), you are not to blame: you followed the nurse's bidding - you got closer and stepped on the oxygen line, you gave the cell-phone and you asked her to read the message out loud. I seriously think any judge would hang the nurse. If I were the judge, I'd make her sing "Put the blame on me, Boy!" all the way to the gallows even if Orson Welles might object. The next time you write something to clear yourself of all blame, add a few more epithets like "blithering" and "silly" to the drunken sod's vocabulary. It's more becoming.
