My dad was a long time Teamster, so when he retired he got a pension. Had to go to Lost Wages to check on his pension fund. ;-)
Visited one once in California. Had to get there from Nevada and take a boat from the London Bridge (real, authentic, old London Bridge) across the Colorado to get there. Nice folks, took my money with pleasure. One time in Reno, an attendant had to tell me that the slot machine that I just left to try my luck on a poker machine (don't, they have bad odds) hit a jackpot for the very next guy that tried the machine.
In retirement, mom and dad never passed an Indian casino without stopping. Mom set strict limits on what they would spend, but dad got all the jackpots and bragged about them. My frugal little brain wonders what his net winnings were? I'll bet they were actually negative. Only the casino wins and the Indians are raking it in. Reparations at last!
I doubt it, Tom, and I do you dare ! 'Cos I've never been in a Casino nor never played the "welfare" machine. Do they really let you have something back from your losses? Sounds odd to me. As usual, Boss Lady put you "back" on track. What would you do without her, though your dig in the "back" wouldn't let you keep your shirt on for longer than a Polar Summer Night !
