As usual, your punchlines are not only hilarious, sometimes, they are the gosh awful truth.
This morning, I went to my insurance website to figure out whether I was going to file for reimbursement online, email it or something else. I like chat because I don't have to listen to some fast talking South Asian, or worse, a computer Catch-22 pleasant AI voice.
So I entered their chat room and wrote my statement/question?
Their reply: "We are out for the weekend. Please read the facs and commonly asked questions. If you don't get your answers, chat will be open again on the first weekday Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM when we are in the office."
I will be sure to see if I can chat on Monday, Labor Day. They said they were going to be in on Monday, didn't they?
Hi Tom ! This isn't one of your usual cutting quips but it surely is a welcome reminder of the vagaries of Internet control over one's time and hopes and nerves. So true as everybody can testify at one time or another. Guess you need to see that doctor badly - soon. Some medecin-men or voodoo-jugglers are just as good as those who treat patients on a Charlie Chaplin industrial nuts and bolts fast-rolling strap... Hope you recover on your own. Best to the Boss Lady as well. Happy weekend! At least, Monday's a holiday State-side! TW
