Just mark that ballot and vote me in

I’ll fill your cup to the very brim,
With milk and honey runnin over the rim,
---A real BS’er from the looks of him,
I’ll get right on it, my record is strong ,
They’ll shout my praises and sing my song,
---Feller, I cain’t hold my breath that long,
The parasites in Washington, are feeble minded lame,
All my competition is just about the same,
---Feller, you admit it, and you’re in the game,
The primary is tomorrow, I hope you’ll be fair,
I’ve been sinking in the polls, I need you to care,
---Sorry old Feller, ,but my cows ain’t been there!
Great poking fun at the way politicians curry (they stole that word from our horses, dammit!) our favor asking for bucks and votes so they can leave us behind and join the ranks of the wealthy without having to work like the rest of us.
Hi Tom, your new format - with the inner critical space - is a refreshing departure from your usual couplets. Like it: so you, too, want to have a dig at the viscissitudes of the polls, a theme that seems to hound AD commentators, especially since the duo Trump-Biden have taken hold of the centre stage. Good that you focus attention on the outsider who could just as well be the subject of scrutiny. In the ultimate analysis, WHO isn't grist for the satirist's venom ? Enjoyed.
