Life Is Full Of Surprises
Have you ever fallen asleep only
to wake and find,
your whole world upside down
and felt you'd lost your mind?
Kids are running everywhere
your house is all a mess,
where your other sock went
is anybody's guess.
Someone left the TV on but
you can't find the channel flipper,
so you turn your sofa inside out
and find your long lost slipper.
You call out to your children
one by one you ask,
whoever took the remote control
better give it up and fast!
Then you walk into your kitchen
and open the refrigerator,
something doesn't smell right
but heck you'll find it later.
You pour yourself a glass of milk
wishing you never had,
the moment it reaches your taste buds
you violently start to gag.
No investigation needed
seems you've found the stink,
in an outdated gallon of milk
so you pour it down the sink.
Life is full of surprises
not all of them are good,
things don't always turn out
the way you think they should.
Try to find some humor in
a world that's so mundane,
cause in everybody's life
there's bound to be some rain.
