A BLANKET OF WHITE (Source: sakebombed) Look up to the white skies. Magic before my eyes. White flutters to the ground. Without even a sound. Masking the dirt with white. So pretty and so bright. If it could remain this way. A blanket for one more day.

SOMETIMES, IN PRISTINE PLACES, IT DOES. I'LL NEVER FORGET MY LAST WINTER IN WASHINGTON, DC, 2010. WE HAD A FULL BLOWN SNOW STORM...EVERYTHING STOPPED. AND WHEN I WENT OUT THE FOLLOWING MORNING 'WHITE' COVERED THE SIDEWALK AND STREETS MAKING THEM ONE BEAUTIFUL GLISTENING, BLANKET ... I WALKED INTO A WINTER'S WONDERLAND! UNFORGETTABLE. I guess snow is on people's minds these days, seeing as how it's winter, though for me temperature are reaching into the 70s. That said, I love to read about the "magic of snow."
